How do I cite article sources?
Answer
To cite articles, you have several options:
-
Use the style manual: APA, MLA, or Chicago. You can use the Excelsior Online Writing Lab (OWL) and/or the APA Style Blog for additional help.
-
Some databases will now perform that function for you. Look for a cite icon.
-
If you have many items in your bibliography, you might want to use RefWorks to organize and cite your sources.
-
Google Scholar has a cite function, too. Type in the title of your resource and click on the cite function.
If you choose to use a database or software tool to help you with citing sources, remember that it is your responsibility to verify the accuracy of your citations!
