How do I access the Wall Street Journal from home?

Answer

To access the Wall Street Journal from any computer or device that has an internet connection, please follows the steps below.

Please do not share your sign-on credentials with any other person, whatsoever. Any violation of this clause will result in Dow Jones terminating access for San José Public Library.

  • Use SJPL's subscription link, then enter your library card number and PIN.
  • You will be taken to a page to create an account with a name, e-mail address and password. If you already have a Wall Street Journal account, you can sign in with that information.
  • Registering an email address with Wall Street Journal will opt you into receiving email marketing communications from Dow Jones. To opt out of this, uncheck the box next to "I would like to receive updates and special offers from Dow Jones and affiliates, including The Wall Street Journal. I can unsubscribe at any time."
  • You will have 72 hours of access to the Wall Street Journal.
  • After 72 hours, you can use the subscription link again for another 72 hours of access. Enter your library card number and PIN. Select "SIGN IN" and enter the e-mail address and password you set up originally.
  • When signing back in with your e-mail address and password, you may be prompted to verify your e-mail address. You can select "Continue to WSJ" to avoid e-mail verification.
  • Please be aware of the Dow Jones Privacy Notice if you choose to create a Wall Street Journal account.

Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions.
